So this little Jar was formed using the Kurinuki technique, where I started out with a solid piece of clay and then carve out the inside of the form the interior of the container. I used is a warm speckled stoneware clay that is faceted to create the shape. The jar is fired with a glossy white glaze on the inside is glazed with a matte white glaze on the outside. This container is ideal for holding jewelry or other small treasures.
